Back in 1984 at the age of 14, Shawn Crossen started his very own kids professional wrestling league. Within just two short years, he was producing a nationally syndicated weekly cable television show and holding live public events in front of hundreds of loyal fans.
Now, for the first time, he has come forth with a true story about his youthful dreams and accomplishments so incredible, you may find it hard to believe that it really actually happened.
Learn how a very talented and ambitious 14-year-old kid did the impossible task of running his very own professional wrestling league during a time when doing such a thing was simply unheard of. Predating the emergence of “backyard wrestling”, NWF Kids Pro Wrestling was a much different venture. These young kids not only got inside the ring and wrestled, but they actually produced their own cable tv shows, promoted their own “live” spectator events, and ran the league from behind the scenes.
On Friday, May 9th, 1986, the NWF attempted something that had never been tried before, a “live” event at the Anoka Armory. That night, over 300+ fans piled into the Anoka Armory to witness one of the greatest achievements in the history of the NWF- Superstars Spectacular ‘86.
On Saturday, July 26th, 1986 the NWF promoted their second event at the Anoka Armory titled Summer Sizzler Extravaganza. And while the crowd on hand was on the light side, the action in the ring was anything but. A great card full of kids pro wrestling at it’s best!
On Saturday, October 18th, 1986 the NWF promoted their biggest event in league history as they completely sold out the Anoka Armory with over 450 fans packed into the Anoka Armory that night. The matches are jam packed full of nonstop action on record breaking Fall Brawl Super Card!
On Saturday, August 23rd, 1987 the NWF promoted their final event at the Anoka Armory as a followup to their very first armory card back in May of 1986. The event was titled Superstars Spectacular ‘87 and from a technical standpoint, featured some of the best wrestling that the league had ever showcased!
